Saratoga Springs (June 2026) — For hundreds of children across the Capital Region, summer camp is more than just a place to spend the day. It’s where friendships are formed, confidence grows, and lifelong memories are made.
For many families, however, the cost of camp can be a barrier.
In the latest episode of The Good Stuff, Allison D’Antonio, CEO of the Saratoga Regional YMCA, sits down with Lanyel Brandon from Stewart’s Shops to discuss the partnership that has helped make summer camp possible for hundreds of local children through scholarships and community support.
The conversation centers around the YMCA’s 36th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, which raised an incredible $110,000 this year to support summer camp scholarships. Thanks to Stewart’s Shops and the generosity of sponsors, volunteers, and community members, nearly one in three campers receives financial assistance to attend camp each summer.
Lanyel shares how collaboration has been the key to the tournament’s success, explaining that meaningful partnerships aren’t just about raising money. They’re about bringing businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders together around a shared purpose. That commitment has helped the tournament raise more than $600,000 for camp scholarships during her involvement.
Listen to the full conversation with Allison D’Antonio and Lanyel Brandon to hear how one of the Capital Region’s longest-standing partnerships is helping more children experience the joy of summer camp.
